Reviews for Han Pork - Gen Max Mango
Review highlights
Based on 474 reviewsHan Pork - Gen Max Mango is widely recognized for its authentic Korean dining experience, offering affordable unlimited samgyupsal with an impressive variety of side dishes. Customers frequently commend the genuine flavors and the accommodating, friendly staff who are attentive with timely refills. The restaurant’s ambiance, enhanced by K-pop music and thoughtful decor, adds to the overall appeal. While the price has increased over time, many still find the value reasonable given the quality and assortment of food. Some feedback points to portion sizes of the meat being smaller than expected, but this is often balanced by the generous and delicious side offerings. Overall, Han Pork is a favored destination for those seeking authentic and budget-friendly Korean barbecue in Cebu City.
It is affordable considering the rate per person is below 500 for an unlimited samgyupsal. The owners are koreans so it is authentic. I always go there actually for their unli side dishes. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. If they notice we don't have pork anymore, they ask us if we want refill.
I probably visited Han Pork more than 10 times already since they opened a few years ago. They started from 199/person so they were our go-to for affordable samgyup fix. Anyway, times have changed and they are now 400+ per person which is still not bad considering the variety of side dishes they offer. Plus they are quick to refill and the staff are also quick to get back on our requests. Overall HanPork is still a staple in Mango and even thought there has been a lot of samgyupsal places sprouting around the city, HanPork still stood its ground. Con/s: they only serve one type of meat which is the belly or samgyupsal pork. But not complaining here
Was in Cebu city on Easter and the town is almost dead! Couldn’t find anything else that is interesting and decided to give this Korean bbq place a try. 399peso for buffet of Korean side dish and bbq pork seems like a steal. And in fact, most of the sides are really authentic and delicious, eg, the Korean fried chicken, the kimchi soup, the fried glass noodle. However, the bbq pork have a strong pig smell and we felt overwhelmed after a while. Didn’t ask for another serving but ate a lot of the side. Worth for the $. Recommended if you are pork lover.
The food was good, but I didn’t like how they served the meat—one piece per serving felt too little. The side dishes were great, and I really liked the place, especially the mirror wall at the back. The K-pop playing on two monitor TVs was a nice touch—just enough to catch your attention. The staff were polite and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d love to come back someday.
Yummy Samgyupsal and so yummy side dishes. Unlimited for 90 mins and must be no left over, If the group have leftovers they will charge 100 pesos each person. PS. I really love their buttered chicken!
A good choice for groups looking for authentic unlimited Korean food. What I like about my experience here is the accessible location, superb food, air-conditioned and clean spot, and good customer service. The queue rises on weekends. A highly recommended restaurant in midtown Cebu City
The place is clean and not very crowded. There are a lot of side dishes available in a corner. The downside is there are no varieties for the meat. The smoke wont bother you inside because they have a unique way of cooking style for the meat. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive for your needs. Two thumbs up for the food and service.
